The showcase distillery on the night will be the first legal Tasmanian Whisky Distillery since 1838, established in 1992 and now 30 years young, Lark.
William Jenke will be on hand to both regale and share, with 2022 being a very special anniversary year.

The evening will then sample vertically single malts from Glenfarclas, the Speyside Scottish distillery which identifies as a ‘Highland’ Single Malt and has a special connection to Bill Lark during the early days of the Lark Distillery being founded.
Andrew Derbridge the Director and Cellermaster of the Scotch Maly Whisky Society Australian Branch will join via videostream to share his passion for Glenfarclas Distillery.

The Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS) featured will be from Distillery Number 1, coincidental to Lark story, the 1st Distillery bottled by The Society.

$69 Cost includes:

– Classic Cask single malt (43% ABV)
– Sherry Aged & Sherry Finished II single malt (51% ABV)

Welcome drink – Grants 8 year old Sherry Cask Finish Scotch Blend (40% ABV) – served to your preference
(neat, with ice or highball)
– Glenfarclas Heritage – NAS single malt (40% ABV)
– Glenfarclas 12 year old 100º Proof Vintage Reserve Milroy’s of Soho single malt (57.1% ABV)
– Scotch Malt Whisky Society 1.237 Suave and plush 7 year old single malt, single cask, natural cask strength (60.7% ABV)

15ml serves of each single malt.

FOOD – A light supper/tasting morsels.

Numbers are limited to 25 whisky tasting participants in The Star Theatre’s private function room.

Some drinks featured are high in ABV and served at ‘cask strength’, so please drink responsibly.
